Thank You?
For you dog crazy dog owners, when someone says, "your dog is adorable!" what is the appropriate response? Do you say "thank you"? If so, why?

I get on my knees, grab the dog's face, and in my best dog voice I say, "Yes he is, yes he is, aren't you puppy, yes you are, oh yes you are." Then I stand up, pause for an awkward moment or two, and then continue with whatever I was doing as if the whole thing never happened.
